“I’d given up on chasing rainbows,” he said when a rainbow came and sat down on him.
“For almost a century I kept trying,” he sighed.
He didn’t seem altogether happy but not altogether sad.
Maybe it was his form of contentment.
The rainbow laughed and sang a song and was jolly.
He closed his eyes and let out a smile.
And he remembered with the rainbow for a little while, not at all left alone anymore.
