Money Mindset Workshop: Let’s talk about money!

If only making money was simple, right?

Well, it is. Kind of…

I’m sure you started out thinking that it’d be easy: you do a job, you get paid for the job.

And in an ideal world, that’s what would happen. You’d exchange work for pay and both parties walk away happy.

Job done. Rinse and repeat.

But what happens in the real world is that you psych yourself out.

You ditch asking for a raise because you get jitters in your belly. Or because your horoscope told you to postpone big changes until Mercury is in retrograde.

You decide to pull out of a job interview because you feel like you’re not qualified, even though landing that job could grow your income exponentially.

Or you get bored doing all the things you know you should be doing because you stress out about doing them perfectly and – as a result – don’t really get anything done.

Yeah, I see you.

Maybe you’re even supposed to be working on something really big right now.

Your first serious project. An idea you pitched and were put in charge of implementing. Landing a notoriously difficult client. Or writing that book you’ve been promising yourself you’d write for the past 12 years.

But instead, you find yourself procrastinating like crazy.

And maybe your preferred procrastination habit is food. Maybe it’s scrolling social media. Or maybe you’re netflixing your way through it.

But maybe you’re also just fed up with yourself. Ready to finally get going on all those things you once dreamed you’d do. Not quite ready to give up on your dreams just yet…

I see you because I was you. I know first-hand that icky feeling you get in your belly when you work on your dreams.

What if people hate my idea? What if they hate me? What if they think I’m greedy? Or taking on things that are too big for me? What if I make a mistake?

Spoiler alert: you will. You’ll make lots of mistakes.

And the good news is that we all make them.

I know all these feelings intimately. Thinking about having more money – hitting those ambitious financial goals – brings up all this stuff in you.

I bet you’re really good at what you do.

And that you’re doing it – not just for the money – but because you like doing it. And you want to help other people.

And you’re not afraid of hard work, which makes not making enough money all the more frustrating!

If it was just a matter of work ethic, you’d already be hitting your financial goals.

And, by the way, hitting your ambitious financial goals has nothing to do with deserving it, in case that thought just popped into your head.

You’re just as deserving as the next person.

In fact; why not you?

If you’re ready to make serious money, you’ve come to the right place.

When you know that, despite all your desire and all your skills and competence, you’re still missing some crucial mindset piece in this puzzle – I’m your gal.

In fact, you’re my favourite kind of person to work with!

Because my mission in life is to help people like you harness the power of wealth – not just for you and your family – but ultimately for the planet.

I know, that no matter what your job is, you’re holding yourself back right now.

You may even be ignoring some easy wins right now, and making things harder than they really need to be.

It’s actually really common.

Because nobody’s taught you that making money is allowed to be easy, or that it can feel comfortable.

We’re all told that we have to work harder to get more money, and that, somehow, happiness will follow.

The bottom line is that you’re the most wonderful opportunity for creating abundance – both for yourself and your family.

You just need to ease into that truth.

It isn’t worth killing yourself over money. Or sacrificing time with your loved ones.

The world tells you that you live in a hustle-culture where making money comes once you start waking up at 4 am for a cold shower and working 14-hour days.

And it’s not socially acceptable to make it look easy. Or fun.

Especially with so many people just struggling with the basics.

But training your brain for prosperity isn’t just a nice thing to learn, it’s actually the missing piece.

The right mindset is the difference between a version of you who struggles for years, and a version of you that’s able to receive massive amounts of abundance now.

And it’s okay if you feel sceptical at this point.

Or think that this won’t work for you.

And yes, you don’t always win. You don’t always reach your goals.

In my experience that just means you need to go back to the basics and do the deep inner work required to reclaim that connection to your inner wisdom.

My role is to help people, like you, in a very specific way.

And it’s my delight and pleasure to welcome you to the Money Mindset Workshop.

I’m your emcee, Eva Hussain, And in addition to being a writer and illustrator, I’m an entrepreneur.

I’ve spent the last 10 years working to transform my own money mindset with incredibly practical steps that are designed to stop patterns of behaviour that are sabotaging me from reaching my goals.

I’m here to help you transform your entire relationship with money and abundance.

Because the difference between frustration and financially thriving is all about your mindset.

And I don’t mean in an airy-fairy way, like just having a positive attitude is gonna fix everything instantly.

There are really practical things you can do to train your brain for success.

Understanding and dealing with the underlying behaviours that are sabotaging your chances of success is always going to feel hard.

But I think life’s too short to not get out of your own way.

So, to kick things off, I want you to write a letter to yourself.

A letter where you’ll commit to shifting your mindset about money from here on out. Promise yourself that no longer will you live and die by the old money stories that you’ve been telling yourself.

Stories that are no longer serving you, and actually hold you back from fulfilling your true potential.

I want you to tell yourself that, by making this commitment, you know that you’re going to see some massive transformations in yourself – not just to your bank account, but to your life overall.

And then just trust me that I’ll guide you through it all.

Over the next twenty-five days, you’ll transform in ways you can’t even imagine right now. You’ll have more knowledge, more tools, and be better equipped to take on life with an abundant mindset.

And why wouldn’t you want that?!

It only takes one decision to change your life. So, make this promise to yourself: things are going to change for the better from this point on.

See the ‘homework’ section (below) for help with writing your letter.

There’ll be new homework for you every day.

I urge you to complete the exercises I give you because that’s the only way you’re gonna be able to reach down into your unconscious mind and change the things you’re not really aware of.

Again, I’m so glad you’ve chosen to be here today.

This is the beginning of something beautiful for you.
